About radical centre and our editorial standards
radical centre / centro radical is a bilingual European civic project that explains radical centrism and argues for ambitious democratic reform through synthesis, evidence and pluralism. We publish in English and Spanish as separate, equal editions.
Who we are
We are a civic project, not a political party. Our aim is to make the radical centre understandable, arguable and useful: to show how the strongest insights from different traditions can be combined into reforms that work, and to be honest about what they cost.
How we write
- We lead with the stake. What changes for people, institutions or democratic power.
- We name the choice. Evidence informs decisions; it does not remove values or conflict.
- We show the burden. Who pays, who waits, who decides and who can appeal.
- We state uncertainty. With confidence levels and revision triggers.
- We represent objections. The strongest good-faith counterargument, never a caricature.
Evidence labels
Where it helps, claims carry one of four labels:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Fact | Checkable against a cited source. |
| Interpretation | Our reading of the evidence; others read it differently. |
| Value | A choice about what matters more. Evidence cannot settle it alone. |
| Proposal | What we think should be done, with its costs and how to revise it. |
Two languages, two editions
English and Spanish versions are written to read naturally in each language, not translated word for word. Each article links to its counterpart.
